Chamber Choir

Open to select seventh and eighth grade returning chorus members and new seventh and eighth grade chorus students transferring to Three Oaks with prior choral experience. This choir is designed to continue with the development of the vocal skills with an emphasis on furthering the knowledge and implementation of the concepts of good harmonization, intonation, and musicianship. Musical concepts are presented and implemented at a faster rate than in Mixed Choir. The difficulty of the music will reflect the rate of progress of the individual and the choir as a whole. Chamber Choir - is designed to enhance the serious student’s desire for additional learning and performance experience. Expectations are higher for this class. Placement is limited. Our goal is to establish a tradition of Superior Ratings at F.V.A. Solo and Ensemble, All State, and the Smoky Mountain Music Festival. In addition, Chamber Choir will perform in the Fort Myers area. Members of the Chamber Choir are expected to attend all required rehearsals and work hard to maintain that tradition. Chamber Choir represents Three Oaks Middle School’s high standards.

Chamber Choir is a demanding class designed for the SERIOUS student. Performances are mandatory.

Class Structure

All chorus students will be placed in a choir class based on their current grade level. All students will be placed in a choir based on their talent and other factors. All choirs will be comprised of mixed grades. Students should focus on the choir as a whole regardless of their grade.
